Edo Govt Redeploys EBS MD Suleiman Aledeh, Names Festus Alenkhe Acting Head

The Edo State Government has announced the redeployment of the Managing Director of the Edo Broadcasting Service, Mr. Suleiman Aledeh, to the Edo State Orientation Agency. 

In a government special announcement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., Governor Monday Okpebholo approved the redeployment with immediate effect. Aledeh will now serve as pioneer Director General of the Orientation Agency.

In his place, Mr. Festus Alenkhe has been appointed Acting Managing Director of the Edo Broadcasting Service. He will oversee the operations of the station pending the appointment of a substantive Managing Director.

The government said the governor’s decision forms part of ongoing administrative adjustments aimed at optimising resource management across the state. It added that the changes are designed to strengthen institutional capacity in critical sectors of the administration.

According to the announcement, the redeployment reflects the government’s recognition of Aledeh’s professional expertise. The state government said his capacity would be useful in advancing the mandate of the Orientation Agency.

The Orientation Agency was described as critical to civic engagement, values promotion, and public communication strategy across Edo State. The government expects Aledeh to bring his experience to bear in repositioning the institution.

During his tenure at EBS, Mr. Aledeh was commended for his dedication to public service broadcasting and institutional development. The state government applauded his contributions to the broadcasting sector and wished him success in his new assignment.

Mr. Alenkhe’s appointment as Acting Managing Director, the government said, underscores Governor Okpebholo’s commitment to seamless operational continuity at EBS. He is expected to maintain the station’s high standards of service delivery and professional broadcasting.
