Edo Deputy Governor Seeks Public Support for Okpebholo Administration's Development Initiatives

Iguobazuwa, Edo State - January 3, 2025

In a heartfelt appeal, Edo State Deputy Governor Mr. Dennis Idahosa has urged the citizens of Edo to rally behind the government's developmental agenda led by Senator Monday Okpebholo. Speaking at a homecoming reception celebrating his electoral victory in his hometown of Iguobazuwa, Ovia South West Local Government Area, Idahosa emphasized the need for collective support to sustain the ongoing progress across all 18 local council areas.

Idahosa, a former member of the House of Representatives, addressed a large and enthusiastic crowd, reiterating the commitment of the Okpebholo administration to transform Edo State. “We are here to change the narratives in our state,” he declared, assuring constituents that he would continue the infrastructural advancements initiated during his tenure in the Green Chamber.

Expressing gratitude for his election win, Idahosa stated, “It is such a great honor and privilege to see the caliber of persons gathered here today, celebrating our shared victory.” He dedicated his success to divine providence and pledged to utilize his role for the betterment of the people of Edo.

The Deputy Governor acknowledged Governor Okpebholo for appointing him as his running mate and thanked party members and community leaders for their unwavering support during the election. He promised that every campaign commitment would be met with action, particularly addressing the needs of his community, Iguobazuwa.

In his remarks, Idahosa reinforced the administration's commitment to inclusivity in governance, expressing, “Elections are over; I am not a deputy governor of the APC; I am the deputy governor of the people of Edo State.” He also expressed gratitude to the Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo Oba Ewuare II, for his support.

The community's clan head, Pa. Edward Edoghayeobare Igbinovia, praised the victory of the deputy governor, highlighting its significance as a milestone for the development of both the Iguobazuwa community and Edo State as a whole. 

As the Okpebholo administration embarks on its journey, the Deputy Governor's passionate call for public support sets the tone for a collaborative effort towards creating impactful change across Edo State.
