Deputy Governor Calls for Unity in APC to Foster Development in Edo State, Ize-Iyamu Declares Zero Tolerance for Disunity

BENIN CITY, EDO STATE – Deputy Governor of Edo State, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has issued a strong call for unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) to facilitate the development of the state. Addressing Edo South APC leaders at a New Year party held at Government House, Benin City, Idahosa emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to support Governor Monday Okpebholo's administration. While acknowledging existing divisions, he urged aggrieved members to set aside their differences and work together. He highlighted the party's success in the September 21st governorship election as a testament to past unity and stressed the importance of maintaining this cohesion for future progress.

Idahosa's sentiments were echoed by former Deputy Governor and party leader, Lucky Imasuen, who also championed unity as crucial for the state's development. Adding his voice, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a former governorship candidate, declared a zero-tolerance policy for those sowing discord within the party. He asserted that only those committed to supporting Governor Okpebholo's administration will be welcomed. Ize-Iyamu called for an end to internal conflict, emphasizing that genuine unity is paramount for effective governance and the delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Edo State. Governor Okpebholo was absent from the event due to prior commitments but sent his appreciation to all party members.
