Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance and efficiency in the state. Barr. Vincent Osas Uwadiae has been redeployed from Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources to Commissioner for Lands and Housing. Hon. Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, previously Commissioner for Lands and Housing, has been appointed as Chief of Staff to the Governor. Hon. Gani Audu, former Chief of Staff, is nominated to take over as Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, subject to confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly. ¹

The reshuffle, effective January 30, 2026, is expected to enhance coordination, policy implementation, and effective governance in Edo State. Governor Okpebholo expressed confidence that the strategic adjustments will yield positive results.
