HON VALENTINE ASUEN ATTRIBUTES APC'S VICTORY IN EDO BYE-ELECTIONS TO GOVERNOR OKPEBHOLO'S LEADERSHIP, CONGRATULATES HON IKPEA AND BARR OMOSEDE
Hon Valentine Asuen, the 2023 Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Chairman of the Edo State Forestry Commission, has congratulated Hon Joseph Ikpea and Barr Omosede Igbinedion on their victory at the Edo Central Senatorial and Ovia Federal Constituency bye-election respectively.
In a statement issued in Benin City, Hon Asuen described the victories of Hon Ikpea and Barr Igbinedion as a testament to the popularity and acceptance of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State.
He commended the electorate for coming out en masse to exercise their franchise and for choosing the APC candidates.
Hon Asuen also praised the Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and his Deputy, for their leadership and guidance, which he said contributed to the party's success.
He urged Hon Ikpea and Barr Igbinedion to see their victories as a call to service and to work tirelessly to justify the confidence reposed in them by the electorate.
The by-elections, which were conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), were generally peaceful and witnessed a high turnout of voters.
Hon Valentine Owamagbe Asuen showers praises on His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State, saying the All Progressives Congress won the August 16 by-elections in Edo Central Senatorial district and Ovia Federal Constituency because of his developmental strides in the state.
According to Hon Asuen, the Governor's leadership style and commitment to the development of Edo State have endeared him to the people, who have reciprocated by voting for the APC candidates.
Hon Asuen also noted that the victories of Hon Ikpea and Barr Igbinedion are a clear indication of the APC's dominance in Edo State, and a testament to the party's popularity among the electorate.
