BREAKING: Super Falcons to get houses, $100,000 each
…As Tinubu Confers OON National Honours On Nigerian Team
President Bola Tinubu has announced $100,000 for each of the 24 Nigerian Super Falcons teammates after lifting the 10th TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) crown on Sunday.
Nigeria beat hosts Morocco 3-2 in a tense final in Rabat, Morocco. The Falcons overcame a two-goal deficit to clinch the historic victory and equal their own continental record.
President Tinubu announced the cash prize when he hosted the Nigerian team at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday.
Tinubu also conferred the Order of the Niger (OON) national awards on the players and technical team members.
The president also announced $50,000 for each of the 11 Super Falcons technical team members.
In addition, each of the players would get 3 bedroom flats from the Renewed Hope housing estate of the Federal Government.
