Edo State Poised for Rapid Growth in 2025, Says Odubu
BENIN CITY – Former Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dr. Pius Egbernmwen Odubu, has predicted a year of significant growth and development for Edo State in 2025 under the leadership of Governor Monday Okpebholo. In his New Year message to the people of Edo State, Odubu expressed optimism about the state's future under the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.
"The APC-led government is committed to ensuring that every citizen of Edo State enjoys the benefits of democracy and reaches their full potential," Odubu stated. He highlighted the government's focus on several key areas, including: removing obstacles to business growth, undertaking significant infrastructural development, expanding the education and agricultural sectors, and revamping all sectors of the state's economy.
Odubu cited the 2025 state budget as evidence of this commitment, noting that for the first time, capital expenditure surpasses recurrent expenditure, signaling a major investment in the state's future.
"This budget clearly demonstrates the government’s dedication to tangible progress," Odubu added. He expressed confidence that the government’s vision will elevate Edo State to its rightful position among the nation's sub-national entities.
In his New Year message, Odubu wished the people of Edo State a prosperous and fulfilling 2025, thanking them for their continued support and assuring them that their trust will not be misplaced. He concluded, “I wish you a 2025 where your dreams become a reality, and every aspect of your lives receives a much-needed rejuvenation. Thank you for your unwavering support; your trust will not be betrayed.”
