Gov Okpebholo Inspects Ikpoba Hill Flyover with Channels’ Seun Okinbaloye as Residents Applaud Project

Benin City, April 29, 2026

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on Wednesday inspected the Ikpoba Hill Flyover at Ramat Park, Benin City, in the company of Channels Television anchor and award-winning journalist, Seun Okinbaloye.

The inspection featured a walk-through of the construction site and surrounding areas as part of efforts to showcase key infrastructure projects in the state. The visit drew significant public attention, with market women, commuters, and residents around Ramat Park chanting slogans such as “Akpakomiza,” “Akpako Rescue,” and “the best governor” in appreciation of the ongoing works.

The presence of the prominent national media figure underscores the state government’s strategy to provide visibility for its developmental initiatives while allowing public reaction and project progress to speak for themselves.

The Ikpoba Hill Flyover, which is over 90 percent completed, is a critical infrastructure project expected to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity within Benin City upon completion.
