Dr. Blessing Agbomhere took his consultation tour to Etsako West Local Government Area, where he made a strong case for his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the House of Representatives. Addressing party executives and stakeholders, Agbomhere appealed for the party’s ticket, citing his track record as former Organizing Secretary of the South-South zone and his years of service at various levels. He assured members that, as a legal practitioner who has been called to the bar, he is well equipped to begin effective legislative work from day one.

Agbomhere emphasized his readiness to champion issues of security, empowerment, and development for Etsako Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber, while Senator Adams Oshiomhole would reinforce such efforts at the Senate to seal it up. According to Agbomhere, the constituency needs a representative who is present, accessible, and fully committed to public service.

Highlighting his youthful advantage, Agbomhere described himself as the most energetic among the aspirants, noting that leadership at the grassroots requires agility and accountability. He added that younger leaders are easier to engage and correct if necessary. He also showcased a book he authored titled “40 Qualities of Monday Okpebholo,” written before Monday Okpebholo became governor, to demonstrate his longstanding belief in and support for the administration. He pledged to work closely with the governor and local government chairmen to attract development.

Receiving him, the Etsako West LGA Chairman, Hon. Ahmed Dauda, popularly known as Kurata, welcomed Agbomhere alongside party executives and stakeholders. He assured him of the LGA’s support and offered prayers for his victory. Dauda noted that many elected officials have failed to carry party members along, especially in areas of youth and women empowerment. He urged Agbomhere to prioritize inclusiveness if given the ticket. The meeting ended with a resounding show of support as leaders and stakeholders chanted victory songs in Etsako language.
