Edo State Governor Signs Bills Boosting Judiciary and Oil Sector Governance.
BENIN CITY, Edo State – January 22, 2025 – Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, today signed two landmark bills into law, signaling significant advancements in the state's judiciary and oil sector management.
The first bill raises the retirement age for magistrates from 60 to 65 years. This move, according to the Governor's office, is designed to leverage the experience of seasoned magistrates, thereby improving the efficiency and administration of justice within the state.
